Body found in Lincoln river confirmed as missing man

Not suspicious: Body found in Lincoln river confirmed as missing man from October.

Lincolnshire Police are not treating as suspicious the death of a local man whose body was found in a Lincoln river after he went missing in late October.

Ian Truslove, aged 37 from Boundary Street in Lincoln, was last seen on Saturday, October 27, but has not been seen or heard from since.

He required medication and it is thought that he did not have this on him.

After missing person reports were circulated, police were called to Russell Street in Lincoln on Friday afternoon after reports that a body had been seen in the river.

The dead body of a man was found and recovered from the river. The area was sealed off to allow officers to carry out initial investigations.

On Monday, Lincolnshire Police named the deceased as Ian Truslove. They are not treating this death as suspicious.
