Call for local film-makers to get involved in Lincolnshire festival

Third time’s a charm: Lincoln Short festival calling local film-makers to send in their video submissions for next year’s event.

A Lincoln short films festival is calling for local film-makers to send in their video submissions for next year’s event.

The third Lincoln Shorts festival takes place on Friday, February 8, 2013.

Following a pilot event last year, 2012’s Lincoln Shorts entertained crowds at the Drill Hall, showcasing a variety of the best locally made films.

Anybody in Lincolnshire with anything worth watching is encouraged to submit what they have – it doesn’t matter whether it’s amateur or professional, filmed on a phone or DSLR – if others might enjoy seeing it, send it in.

There are two criteria for submitting a video: it must have a local connection; and it must be less than five minutes long. The deadline is January 1, 2013.

Videos can be submitted online on the Lincoln Shorts website.

Lincoln Shorts founder Tim Johns said: “It’s definitely not just an event for film-lovers, the sheer range of what we show keeps it good fun and really entertaining.

“We’ve also got a brilliant local band lined up to play a few songs and keep the event engaging and fun for everyone,” he added.
