Increased patrols after thefts in Hartsholme

Spike in thefts: Police increasing patrols in the Hartsholme area of Lincoln after a number of thefts from sheds and garages.

Lincolnshire Police are increasing patrols in the Hartsholme area of Lincoln after a number of thefts from sheds and garages.

Pedal cycles and electrical gardening tools are the items being taken. Three incidents took place in the area over the weekend.

On Friday, November 9, a garage to the side of a property on Wigsley Road was broken into and a yellow and green ‘Scott Voltage FR30’ mountain bike was taken.

Then, on Sunday, November 11, a black ‘KONA Blast Hardtail’ mountain bike was taken from a shed on Harrier Court. The lock had been broken off to gain access.

Also on the same day, a number of electrical gardening tools were taken from a shed on Sycamore Crescent, as the lock catch was broken to gain access.

Lincolnshire Police are investigating these crimes as well as increasing patrols in the area.

PCSO Zoe Watts advised basic crime prevention measures are taken, such as obscuring any windows into shed or garages and always locking sheds and garages when unattended.
