Man left with facial injuries after Christmas Eve robbery

Police appeal: A 45-year-old man was left with facial injuries he was robbed in Lincoln city centre.

A 45-year-old man was left with facial injuries after he was robbed in Lincoln city centre.

The incident took place at around 7.30pm on Christmas Eve on the footbridge between St Mary’s Street and Tentecroft Street.

The man was walking home from work when he was attacked and his mobile phone was stolen. The victim was treated for facial injuries at Lincoln County Hospital.

It is thought that more than one offender was involved, but no descriptions are available.

People were present in the train station area at that time and police are urging any witnesses, or anyone with any information to get in touch with them as soon as possible.
