Carluccio’s Italian to replace Lincoln High Street pub

New Italian: A High Street pub and restaurant has closed its doors, but it will soon reopen as a Carluccio’s Italian restaurant.

A High Street pub and restaurant has closed its doors, but it will soon reopen as a Carluccio’s Italian restaurant.

Carluccio’s will replace the Lamb and Flag by March, and is already looking for a head chef, sous chef, assistant manager, general manager and 26 other jobs.

The chain serves Italian cuisine internationally, with different menus depending on the city, and each restaurant has a simplistic decor.

The menu caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner guests, alongside a children’s menu, gluten-free items and drinks.

Prices for main course range from £9.95 to £32 for sharing options, and also include special offers for multiple courses.

Dishes include a variety of meat and fish, such as pan-fried sea bream and rib eye steak, and a section dedicated to pasta dishes.

In addition to the restaurant, a number of Italian produce can be bought, such as chocolate, biscuits, pasta and sauces.

Simon Kossoff, CEO of Carluccio’s, said: “We have been keen to open in Lincoln for a number of years now and are delighted to have finally found the right site for us.”

Updated: Carluccio’s will be the 11th Italian restaurant in Lincoln. Of the other ten, four are chains: Prezzo, Ask, Zizzi and Pizza Express; and six independents: La Bottega Delitalia, La Trattoria Da Vincenzo, Pomodoro E Basilico, L’Italiano, Gino’s and Marcelli’s.
