This week marks a year since Lincoln voluntary organisation Off The Bench have set out to regenerate the Ritz cinema on the High Street.

The team suffered a major setback last year when asbestos was discovered in the building and all their budget had to be spent on removing it. Now they are looking to raise some £100,000 to continue work on the project. Meanwhile, they gave The Lincolnite another look inside the progress at the Ritz cinema. Read more about the first year of the project from Off The Bench founder Pete Genders in his latest column.
