‘Proper’ pasties shop comes to Lincoln High Street

Slice of Lincoln: A national Cornish Pasty franchise will be opening its doors on Lincoln High Street soon.

A shop devoted to pasties will be opening in a recently-vacated shop unit on Lincoln High Street shortly.

The Proper Pasty Company, which serves fresh pasties, calzones and other savoury snacks, moved into the former Tie Rack unit on High Bridge.

Work started on the unit to transform into a pasty shop this week. They are now hiring managers, supervisors and counter sales staff.

The franchise bakes traditional Cornish pasties and other bakery goods on site, with a variety of mixes to chose from.

As well as the traditional steak Cornish Pasty, there’s chicken, lamb and mint, broccoli and sweetcorn, beef and breakfast Cornish Pasties to name but a few to try.

Also on offer are sausage rolls, pork pies, turnovers and slices, plus a variety of small calzones.

The Proper Pasty Company is one of a few shops getting a slice of the pasties trade in the High Street area.

As well as local bakeries like Curtis’ selling pasties, there is the West Cornwall Pasty Company in Cornhill, Cooplands, Greggs, and The Cornish Pasty Shop on Steep Hill.
