Teenage girl grabbed by stranger in Skellingthorpe

Stranger danger: Police are reminding resident to be vigilant after a stranger approached a young girl.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information after a 14-year-old girl was grabbed by a stranger in Skellingthorpe.

The incident took place at around 4pm on the footpath running behind the village’s community centre.

The young girl was walking her dog when the man approached her and grabbed her around the waist.

The victim managed to break free though, and the stranger ran away. She was not hurt in the incident.

The offender is described as white, wearing a dark beanie hat, a green coat, blue jeans and burgundy trainers.

The isolated incident happened in a low crime area, but police are asking residents to be vigilant and are appealing for any information about the suspect.
