All the political parties and independents have announced their candidates for the seats, and a list of all the nominations across the seven districts is available here.

In Lincoln, there are 10 county councillor seats up for grabs, and you can find here a list of candidates from each ward.

Lincolnshire County Council is currently controlled by Conservatives, with 61 Conservatives, 6 Independents, 5 Labour, 4 Lib Dem, and 1 vacancy.

Elections for the County Council are held every four years, unlike the City of Lincoln Council elections, which are held yearly, except when there are county local elections.

You need to be registered on the electoral roll to vote by Wednesday, April 17, in order to take part in these elections.

To ensure you are on the electoral roll before the closing date you can email [email protected], visit About My Vote or call 01522 873374 or 01522 873439.

The Lincolnite will be covering the results live on May 2, and pre-election coverage will begin later this week.
