Lincoln boxer crowned ISKA European Champion

Winning streak: Lincoln Muay Thai boxer Leigh Edlin has clinched a prestigious European title held in Birmingham.

A Muay Thai boxer from Lincoln has secured a special European boxing title, making him one of the top in the sport.

Boxer Leigh Edlin became the ISKA European Champion after a match against opponent Michele Botezatu from Italy at The New Bingley Hall in Brimingham.

As well as his tough training regime, he runs the Chao Phraya Academy in Lincoln, which teaches students of all ages Thai boxing. He had over 100 people travel from Lincoln to support him.

Leigh described his winning fight as intense, with his opponent withstanding many of his best shots. After the event, Edlin required stitches to his face due to cuts he had to withstand.

He trains with help from Thai instructor Andy Thomson, international Muay Thai boxer and coach Parnpetch Rirom, performance specialist Darren McFaul and club founder Shaun Boland.
