Man arrested after teenage girl was grabbed in Skellingthorpe

Under investigation: A 21-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Skellingthorpe when a teenage girl was approached and grabbed.

A 21-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Skellingthorpe when a teenage girl was approached and grabbed.

The incident took place at around 4pm on March 26 on the footpath running behind the village’s community centre.

The 14-year-old girl was walking her dog when the man approached her and grabbed her around the waist.

The girl managed to break free though, and the stranger ran away. She was not hurt in the incident.

Lincolnshire Police arrested a 21-year-old local man in connection with this incident last Thursday evening.

The man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until May 2.
