Lincoln Hilton hotel gets online excellence award

Second time lucky: Lincoln’s DoubleTree by Hilton hotel managed to get TripAdvisor’s excellence award for the second year in a row.

The DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Lincoln has gained an award from TripAdvisor for its high ratings from visitors.

The Brayford hotel, bar and restaurant got the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2013.

TripAdvisor only give this award to businesses maintaining four or five star ratings from customers, and it honours hospitality excellence.

Less than 10% of businesses manage to achieve the accolade on the travel website. The hotel managed to secure the award last year too, after just a year of trade.

Doubletree’s General Manager Philip Walker said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded the Certificate of Excellence for the second year since the hotel opened.

“It really reflects on the hard work that our team put in to make sure that every guest has a personal and special experience whether they’re staying with us, or enjoying an event here at the hotel.

The four star Hilton hotel on Brayford Wharf North opened in December 2011, and offers facilities such as a gym, conference and meeting room space, and the Electric Bar and Restaurant.
