Lincoln residents urged to lock doors after burglary spike

Sneak-in burglaries: Police are warning residents to lock unattended windows and doors after a rise in burglaries.

Lincolnshire Police are urging residents to lock their front and back doors after a spate of burglaries.

The warning comes after three offences over the last few nights where offenders have got into homes through doors that are left unlocked all night.

The thieves then went on to steal handbags and purses. The offences took place on Lisburn Close, Hungate and Larne Road.
