Lincoln postman dies while delivering mail in hot weather

Tragic death: A postman in Lincoln has died while delivering post in the city during the hot weather.

A postman in Lincoln has passed away this week while delivering post in the city.

The postman is believed to have passed away during the high temperatures Lincoln has been experiencing over the past week.

The main cause for the man’s death is still unclear.

The man has been named locally as Graham Bennett from Saxilby, who worked at the Lincoln depot for 29 years.

Royal Mail spokesman, Nick Martens, said: “Royal Mail confirms that one of our colleagues at the Lincoln Delivery Office died this week while out delivering the mail.

“Our thoughts are very much with his family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time.”
