Sky’s the limit for budding Lincoln entrepreneurs

New network: A new network for local entrepreneurs will launch with a special pitching and networking event in Lincoln city centre.

An event in Lincoln city centre aims to encourage budding entrepreneurs across the region.

The new East Midlands Pioneers network event on September 25, held in the Cornhill, aims to help new entrepreneurs make useful contacts.

The networking event will bring hopefuls together with more experienced business people while pitching business ideas.

The launch of the network will involve a Dragons’ Den-style competition, with a luxury car and local start-up success Fly365‘s aircraft used as a backdrop to the pitches.

The pitches will run between 10am and 3pm on the day.

The event is overseen by Virgin Media Pioneers Ambassador, Michael Overton, who is kick-starting his own kitchen innovation company Sealsafe Ltd.

Anyone can enter the event, and top prize includes a flight experience over the winner’s home, with other prizes including business promotion opportunities with Virgin Media Pioneers.

The evening event on the same day, featuring key speakers Shaun Cole from Ideafuel Creative in Lincoln and Phil Kelsey of Spiral Media in Lincoln, will announce the winners of the prizes for their pitches.
