Lincoln bookie robbed at knife-point

City centre robbery: A Lincoln bookmakers has been robbed at knife-point and the offender got away with cash.

A Lincoln bookmakers has been robbed at knife-point on Friday, August 30.

The incident happened at around 6.30pm at the Ladbrokes shop on Sincil Street in Lincoln.

A man entered the shop, threatened a staff member with a knife and took cash from the cash register.

He left the premises and turned towards St Mary’s Street.

No-one was injured during the robbery, Lincolnshire Police said in a statement.

The offender is described as a white man, 5’10” tall with an English accent.

He was wearing a black hooded coat with blue jeans. The jacket hood was up and his lower face was covered by a kind of scarf.

It is unclear whether this incident is related to an attempted knife-point robbery at Jimian Newsagents on Claremont Street in Lincoln on Thursday, August 29.
