Dunston Scarecrow Festival 2013

Outstanding in their field: The Scarecrow Festival in Dunston village showcased homemade characters from home to home with the added new entry of gnomes too.

The 2013 Scarecrow Festival in Dunston village took place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September.

Visitors to the event could follow the trail of homemade characters from home to home with the added new entry of gnomes too.

Residents and visitors were entertained throughout the day by local brass band Silver Sounds Band and a variety of stalls occupied the village green.

Stalls included Cupcakes By Clare, Sweet Kandy Kisses and Ownsworth’s Rapeseed Oil.

Fun crafts, a tombola and games for all the family raised funds for a variety of village organisations.

Guests also had the opportunity to meet some feathered guests from Hoots R Us.
