Lincoln filmmakers crowdfund for new feature

Big Crunch: A local film company is crowd-funding to create its latest project, Time and Place.

A Lincoln film production team is promoting a fundraising campaign to support their new feature film, Time and Place.

Based on Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity, the story by Quandary Productions will focus on a Big Crunch scenario. If the Big Bang describes how the universe could have started, the Big Crunch describes how it will end as a consequence.

The piece focuses on one man’s reaction to a theory that consumes him: when scientists reveal the universe has stopped expanding, and will soon begin to contract, time collapses for one man. Things lose their meaning, and moral boundaries seem absurd.

Time and Place will be a low-budget feature, with a minimum goal of £15,000 to begin principle photography. The goal for the crowdfund must be met by  November 1.

Contributions on the film’s campaign site not only help the production team create the new project, but 10% of annual profits also go to various charities across the globe. Those backing the project will also receive bonus copies before the film release, subject to donation amount.

Involved in the campaign is Producer, Writer and Director Michael Henry and Actor and Producer Tom Bridger.

Matt Eckholm, Director of Izzie Midnight said: “Working with Quandary Productions has been fantastic. I can honestly say I don’t think my script would have has half a strong a story without Michael’s razor-sharp notes. They know their stuff, believe me.”

The teaser trailer gives potential backers an idea of what the film will look like once produced. Visit the campaign page here for more details.
