Delays are likely in the Station Road area in Hykeham in December while drainage work is taking place for the next two weeks.
Drainage work as part of the Whisby Road development is starting on Station Road from Monday, with two-way traffic lights in place from December 2 to December 20.
The traffic lights will only be in place during off-peak hours, between 9.30am to 3.30pm, to minimise disruption to motorists, Lincolnshire County Council said.
The lights will be manually controlled to keep traffic flowing during the works.
Meanwhile, Whisby Road is one-way only due to the works there, which are set to last a year.
