Man proposes on Brayford Pool with flashmob

Flashmob wedding proposal: A man proposed to his girlfriend at the weekend using a flashmob along Brayford Pool in Lincoln.

A lucky young woman in Lincoln, Katrina Coupland, got quite the surprise this weekend when her partner, Ian Burton, proposed to her along Brayford Pool with a flashmob.

The flashmob started next to Chimichanga restaurant, featuring just two girls dancing to “Wild Ones” by Flo Rida and Sia. However, more people emerged from the gathering crowd to take part in the dance, which was filmed here by YouTube user “Razzledazzlethem123“.

The group then begin cheering and singing along to “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, where four placards appear, asking the young woman to marry her partner, Ian Burton. The entire act is met with rounds of applause by both the dancers, from Bishop Grosseteste Dance Society, and passers by.
