Mayor of Lincoln to skydive for charity

Ending on a high: The Mayor of Lincoln will help fundraise and celebrate a busy year by skydiving for charity.

The Mayor of Lincoln will be taking part in a sponsored skydive this year to raise money for his chosen charity.

Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Pat Vaughan (71) also encouraged the City of Lincoln Council’s Civic Manager, Kate Fenn, to join him at Langar Airfield on April 9.

The pair will jump out of the plane at 13,500 feet to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, the Mayor’s nominated charity of the year.

The Mayor said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the activities and events I’ve been able to get involved in and wanted to end my civic year on a literal high!

“From celebrating World Hello Day to my 15 minutes of fame in the Lincoln Lip Dub, this year has been better than I could ever have imagined and I’m excited, and slightly nervous, about the skydive, which will be one of my final fund-raising events.

“I would really appreciate it if people could show their support and help me raise money for such a worthy charity.”
