New stained glass windows blessed at Lincoln university chapel

Window blessing: The chapel at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln has hosted a ceremony to bless a new set of stained glass windows.

The chapel at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln has hosted a ceremony to bless a new set of stained glass windows.

The ceremony on January 30 was dedicated to Saint Francis and Saint Clare, who were chosen because of the great support Robert Grosseteste gave to the Franciscans.

The congregation celebrated two new windows, which depict Saint Clare and Robert Grosseteste, given in honour of Muriel Robinson OBE DL, the university’s Vice Chancellor who retired in April 2013.
