Lincolnshire retained for two more Police Interceptors series

Police Interceptors: Lincolnshire will feature on another two series of the crime-fighting documentary Police Interceptors.

Lincolnshire has been chosen as the setting for a further two series of the popular crime-fighting documentary, Police Interceptors.

Series six, currently airing on Channel 5 on Mondays at 8pm, features Lincolnshire’s Road Policing Unit and the Police Dog Unit, following officers as they patrol the county and police the longest road in Britain, the A1.

Filming has already begun for series 7, which will take a look at the way the elite police units work in the field during intense operations.

Filming for the eighth series is set to begin later this year.

Filmed and produced by specialist independent TV production company, Raw Cut TV, the upcoming series are expected to bring viewers behind-the-scenes footage out on the job.

The teams come up against violent disputes, high speed chases and dangerous drivers.

Steve Warr, Raw Cut Company Director, said: “Working with Lincolnshire’s elite units gives us a unique view of real crimes in progress and the incredibly tough and dangerous job the officers carry out on a daily basis.

“We’re excited to be out in the field with the force again for an action-packed eighth series and it’s a great opportunity for us to showcase the brilliant work the Lincolnshire police are doing in the community.”
