Man arrested after Lincoln flat fire

Lincoln flat fire: A man has been arrested after a flat fire in the Ermine in Lincoln.

Four Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews tackled a fire at a flat in the Ermine in Lincoln.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at 8.37am on Thursday, March 27 at Stuart House on Asterby Close.

Four crews from Lincoln North and Lincoln South attended the incident.

The fire was at the first floor of the building.

The fire has been extinguished and firefighters continued ventilation of the property before assessing the damage caused by the blaze.

There was severe fire damage to the living room and severe heat and smoke damage to the rest of the first floor.

There was severe smoke damage to the second floor of the maisonette as well.

Initial reports indicate no one has been injured.
