Head injury: A Lincoln man struck by a train remains in hospital in what has been described as a “stable condition”.

A Lincoln man struck by a train remains in hospital in what has been described as a “stable condition”.

The 24-year-old man was hit by a train on March 3, on tracks close to the Oak Farm crossing near Tritton Road in Lincoln.

Police and emergency services were called to the incident at midday.

The man suffered a serious head injury and was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

He remained in hospital overnight in a stable condition, British Transport Police (BTP) said.

BTP previously said on Monday the incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
