Consultation starts for North Kesteven £2.5m sports centre revamp

Improved facilities: People who use the leisure centre in North Hykeham can have their say on plans to revamp the facility.

People who use the sports centre in North Hykeham can have their say on plans to revamp the facility in the south of the city.

As previously reported, NKDC councillor debated spending £2.5 million on refurbishing North Kesteven Sports Centre.

This was due to the building not having serious improvements since the 1970s, and is beginning to fall behind in customer experience.

The investment into facilities was approved by councillors, meaning work can begin as early as October 2014.

Work includes improvements to external building works, car parks, drainage and roofing, courts and changing rooms, electrical and mechanical fittings and structural alterations.

However, first the council want to hear residents’ opinions on the plans, from designs to timescales and facilities.

Visit the NKDC website to see more designs and proposals and email [email protected] with your feedback.

Residents can also drop into consultation sessions at North Kesteven Sports Centre on:
