Technical difficulties: A plane with trainee pilots was forced to land at RAF Waddington after getting into difficulty.

A civilian plane has had to make an emergency landing at RAF Waddington.

The plane involved is a pilot training aircraft, which had taken off from Boscombe Down to complete circuits as part of training.

An RAF Waddington spokesperson said:-“A routine civilian MOD charter operated by QinetiQ flying from Boscombe Down on a pilot training sortie had a technical issue during pre planned circuits at RAF Waddington and therefore, carried out a precautionary landing.
