A civilian plane has had to make an emergency landing at RAF Waddington.
The incident happened at around 11.30am on Thursday, May 8.
The plane involved is a pilot training aircraft, which had taken off from Boscombe Down to complete circuits as part of training.
However, the aircraft ran into technical difficulties, forcing the team to land the plane at RAF Waddington.
An RAF Waddington spokesperson said:-“A routine civilian MOD charter operated by QinetiQ flying from Boscombe Down on a pilot training sortie had a technical issue during pre planned circuits at RAF Waddington and therefore, carried out a precautionary landing.
“The RAF is assisting QinetiQ engineers who are assessing the aircraft.”
