Unexplained Lincoln death ‘not suspicious’

Hermit Street death: Officers are treating the death of a 34-year-old man in Lincoln as no longer suspicious.

Officers are treating the death of a 34-year-old man who was found dead in Lincoln on May 9 as unexplained, but not suspicious.

As previously reported, the man was found dead at an address on Hermit Street, off Portland Street, at 10.51am.

Two men were initially reported to have fled from the premises off Portland Street prior to officers’ arrival at the scene.

The cause of death of the man has yet to be established and post mortem results and toxicology tests are yet to be returned, which police say can take a number of weeks.

The identity the deceased has not been released as next of kin have yet to be informed.
