The Red Arrows have launched a 3D in-cockpit film to mark their 50th display season as part of a 4D motion simulation experience at the London Science Museum Fly Zone gallery.

Shot on location in Cyprus May 2014, the film shows the highlights from the Red Arrows’ 50th anniversary display from inside the cockpit of Squadron Leader, Red One, and Team Leader of the Red Arrows Jim Turner.

The film gives viewers a close and realistic experience of flying in one of the Red Arrows’ Hawk jets.

Directed by Paul Spence with a commentary from Flt Lt Mike Ling, Red 10, the film takes viewers through expert manoeuvres and flight formations.

Bonus video: BAE, who made the Hawk jets for the Red Arrows, have also released a tribute video celebrating the team’s 50th display season.
