Among popular exhibitions was the Lincolnshire Bee Keeping tent, where bee keeper Mick Drury from Caneby Corner was teaching visitors about his job.

He said: “This is my first year at the Lincolnshire Show and I am so surprised at how much interest there is.

“I’ve only been doing this for a year but I absolutely love it and love teaching others about the industry.”

Chris Pearce from Bee Skin Care said: “I have been coming to the show for the last 12 years. I come here every year to buy my bees wax because Lincolnshire wax is the best in the country.

Jade from Poultry Mad added: “We are exhibiting all our poultry for the show and we have been coming here for the past 17 years. It’s part of Lincolnshire’s heritage and tradition.

“Most of the birds we are exhibiting today are for sale and we do a lot of trade still year on year.
