Lincoln city centre has undergone a sandy transformation to mark the start of a programme of popular summer events.
Lincoln BIG’s Lincoln by the Sea beach returned to Lincoln City Square on Monday, July 31, complete with deckchairs, a beach and special entertainment.
The beach, which will be in the square until August 31, also plays host to a number of fairground rides and there are lots of festivals to watch out for close by.
Between July 23 and August 3, sports fans can enjoy watching the Commonwealth Games on the big screen, which will be set up at Lincoln Cornhill.
The Commonwealth Festival also includes a Commonwealth Food Fair from Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27.
Visitors to the city centre can spot giant Mr Punch, Judy and Baby as the Punch and Judy Festival hits the beach on July 25 and 26.
The Punch and Judy shows throughout the weekend are subject to weather conditions.
