Cars targeted by thieves in Lincoln villages

Car crimes: Residents in local villages have reported a number of car crimes in the area over the weekend.

A number of vehicles were targeted by thieves in Lincoln villages over the weekend.

Four cars were targeted overall: two at Bardney, one at Cherry Willingham and one at Normanby-by-Spital. All were reported on August 3.

In all cases, the cars had items of value stolen, and officers believe this would have acted as a lure for the offenders.

Police remind residents to keep all items of value out of sight or, if possible, remove them from vehicles.

Anyone with information relating to the incidents should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incidents 156, 160, 167 or 208, all of August 3.
