First look: Lincoln Revolution bar £170k revamp complete

Fresh Revolution: We have a first look at the revamped Revolution bar in Lincoln after a week’s work.

After a £170,000 refurbishment, 10 new members of staff and a week closure, the Revolution bar on Park Street in Lincoln has revealed its new look.

In addition to fresh decor, staff hope that discreet changes to the layout will also keep customers coming back.

The front of the bar has been opened up with seating booths and ‘tree trunk’ tables have been removed to create more floor space.

The rear dance floor has been raised to street level and original brickwork and windows have been exposed.

The food and drinks menus will remain the same, with the addition of a special mojitos menu.

Samina Hussain, Revolution Lincoln‘s General Manager, said: “The whole team have been through major training this week and we are really emphasising that customer focus.

“The space has a completely different vibe. It’s a lot more useable and the dance floor is not so dark and dingy in the day.

“On Friday, August 15 we are having an after-work party and that’s all aimed at people who work in the city centre and the surrounding areas. We want them to come down and see what we do, there’ll be lots of entertainment that night.

“We’ve got lots of space to hire out and we offer lots for private parties so we are encouraging anyone celebrating any occasion to get in touch.”
