Video: Lincoln MP takes the Ice Bucket Challenge

Drenched MP: Lincoln MP Karl McCartney accepted his Ice Bucket Challenge nominations, and got pretty wet for charity.

Lincoln MP Karl McCartney has become the latest key figure in the city to take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.

As previously reported, a variety of organisations and individuals in Lincoln have been coming up with quirky ways to throw ice water over their heads to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Participants include the Red Arrows, a fish and chip shop, a hotel and an illustrator. It was only a matter of time before the Conservative MP was challenged to the Ice Bucket Challenge too.

In his video, Henry McCartney sits above Karl on a car, tipping water over the apprehensive MP. Water is then thrown on him from the side too.

He went on to nominate friends, family and two other MPs, Gavin Williamson and Jason McCartney MP.

McCartney happens to be a patron of the Lincolnshire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Take the Ice Bucket Challenge and make a donation by texting ICED55 £5 (or other amount) to 70070, visiting the Just Giving page, or by calling 01604 611860 referencing the Ice Bucket Challenge.
