Tools worth £2k stolen from Lincoln village shed

Valuable equipment: Police are investigating an incident in which £2,000 of equipment was stolen from a village property.

Police are investigating a shed burglary in Nettleham, near Lincoln, where garden tools worth £2,000 were taken.

The incident happened just before 2.30am on August 14 on High street, Nettleham.

The owner of the property woke up at around 2.30am and noticed the outside light was on, and then noticed a male running from the garage.

On investigation, the homeowner discovered a hedge trimmer, chainsaw and a stone cutter had been taken.

The garage is not easily visible from the road however on this one occasion the garage had been left unlocked.

The family are said to be quite distressed by the burglary and would also like any information on the items as the are costly to replace.
