Britain’s last flying Vulcan toured 10 RAF stations on its Cold War tour on September 25, including RAF Waddington and RAF Scampton near Lincoln, where hundreds of people gathered to see the aircraft.

During the day, the XH558 soared over the ten stations which once housed Britain’s nuclear deterrent aircraft, the V-Force, to salute airmen and women who fought in the Cold War.

The flight, arranged by the Vulcan to the Sky Trust, was the last that the Vulcan will make during 2014.
