Poppy box stolen: Police are appealing for information after a poppy box was stolen from a bakery shop in Lincoln.

Police are appealing for information after a poppy box was stolen from a Greggs shop on Brant Road in Lincoln.

The incident was reported to police on Wednesday, November 5 and is believed to have occurred sometime between 1pm on Tuesday, November 4 and 1.30pm on November 5.

Enquiries have been made with neighbouring businesses and individuals in the area and officers would like to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to the theft.

Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 211 of November 5.

People can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A similar incident was also reported to have happened in Skegness on Sunday October 26, to which police are also appealing for information.
