Man allegedly assaulted in Lincoln city centre

GBH charge: A man has been arrested and bailed after a local man was found injured on a street in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police are seeking witnesses after a man was found injured in Lincoln city centre.

On November 2 at around 2.15am on Clasketgate, near a taxi rank, a 45-year-old local man was found with a suspected fractured cheek and eye socket.

He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

A 24-year-old man from Scunthorpe was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has now been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
