Remembrance: Military personnel, veterans and the public attended a Remembrance Sunday service at Lincoln Cathedral.

A Remembrance service was held in Lincoln on Sunday to honour those who served in world wars.

The special service was held on November 9 at Lincoln Cathedral, which members of the public were invited to.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War One.

The Civic Party, which includes the Mayor of Lincoln, paraded through the cathedral as part of a procession.

Outside the cathedral, members of various local military squadrons and veterans paraded around the streets of uphill Lincoln.

A moment of silence will be observed to remember those who have fallen on Tuesday, November 11, at 11am.
