Woman arrested in connection with fatal mobility scooter crash

Lincolnshire Police have arrested a woman in her late 50s in connection with a fatal crash in Lincoln.

Jim Dakin was travelling on a mobility scooter along the cycle lane on Newark Road on October 17 when a passing vehicle crashed into him and did not stop.

The 82-year-old man died four days later from the injuries sustained from the incident.

On Sunday morning police said that on Friday, October 31, they arrested a woman in her late 50s in connection with the collision.

The woman has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
