Man charged with grandson’s murder in Lincoln

Murder charge: A man has been charged with the murder of his nine-year-old grandson in Lincoln after a police investigation.

A man has been charged with the murder of his nine-year-old grandson in Lincoln after a police investigation.

The young victim, who has been named by police as Alex James Robinson of Pennell Street in Lincoln, was taken from his home to Lincoln County Hospital on December 23, where he was pronounced dead.

Following the post mortem held the morning of December 24, police are now treating the investigation as a murder enquiry.

Alex’s grandfather Stewart James Greene, 64, of Grimoldby, Nr Louth was arrested in connection with the investigation and has now been charged with his murder.

He will appear before Lincoln Magistrates on Boxing Day.
