A 21-year-old Lincoln man has been charged with falsely impersonating a police officer.

It is alleged that between November 2014 and January 2015, around the Tritton Road area of Lincoln, Aydn Walster used a Saab 93 with a blue warning light illuminated.

He approached and spoke to a number of drivers of vehicles, calculated falsely to suggest that he was a special constable or a member of a police force.

Walster, of Benson Crescent in Lincoln, has been bailed to appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on March 10.
