Man robbed of phone and wallet in Lincoln

Phone and wallet taken: Police are investigating the robbery of a man on St Catherine’s Grove in Lincoln.

Police are appealing for information to help their investigating into the robbery of a man on St Catherine’s Grove in Lincoln.

The incident happened at around 8.40pm on Friday, January 9.

The victim, a 29-year-old local man, was approached by a group of men, believed to be four in total, and robbed of his mobile phone and wallet.

He was not seriously injured in the incident, but did sustain bodily and facial injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment and has now been released.

It has not been possible to obtain a clear description of the offenders, who left the scene on foot, other than that they were all dressed in black.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anybody dressed in dark clothing running from the area of St Catherines Grove onto Newark Road, or any vehicles acting suspiciously in the area.
