Teenagers steal chainsaws: Police are appealing for witnesses and residents with CCTV to help identify two teenage boys suspected of stealing chainsaws in Lincoln.

Police are appealing for witnesses and residents with CCTV to help identify two teenage boys suspected of stealing chainsaws in Lincoln.

At around 11.40am on Tuesday, February 24 police officers received a report that two males, aged around 16, had been seen stealing a chainsaw from a building site on South Park.

They were seen to leave on bicycles, one of which reportedly had an orange bag on the seat.

Also on February 24, at around 12.45pm, two males with a similar description were seen to break into an excavator parked on the river bank near Russell Street, Bracebridge, and steal a chainsaw.

Officers released images (above) of the types of tools taken, asking that second hand dealers attempting to sell the items are reported.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity at either location on February 24, or knows of CCTV in operation in the area, is being asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 132 for the South Park theft and 167 for the Bracebridge theft.
