City council approves Pizza Hut Delivery on site of former Lincoln pub

City of Lincoln councillors have unanimously approved plans to turn a former Lincoln pub into a Pizza Hut takeaway.

As previously reported, applicants Globe Consultants submitted a proposal to the city council to transform the site of the Burton Arms pub on 68 West Parade into a Pizza Hut Delivery franchise.

The pub, located on the corner of Victoria Street, has recently closed down.

Councillors approved the plans, which will see a change in licence from public house to hot food takeaway, at a planning meeting on April 1.

Opening and delivery hours will be restricted. Last entry times have been recommended as 11pm and deliveries will be restricted to midnight Mondays to Saturdays and 11pm on Sundays and bank holidays.

In addition, waste collection will be restricted to between 7am – 7pm Monday to Saturday.

No-one from the developers was present at the meeting and, as yet, there is no indication on when work will commence on the project.
