Police appeal after man assaulted in Lincoln

Evening assault: Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a 45-year-old man was assaulted in Lincoln.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a 45-year-old man was assaulted in Lincoln on Tuesday, May 12.

Investigating officers believe the assault might have taken place in the Napier Street/Cannon Street area at around 8pm last night.

A local man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen him in the area or around High Street last night.

Police investigating have cordoned off an area at the Debenhams store loading bay in St Mark’s for investigations.

Police believe he was wearing a green army jumper with a t-shirt tied around his waist, and would have had a brindle coloured Staffordshire Bull Terrier with him.
