Police issue warning after car crime spike in Lincoln

Cars targeted: A laptop and bag were stolen from inside a car in what police believe are a number of vehicle-related crimes in Lincoln.

A laptop and bag were stolen from inside a car in what Lincolnshire Police believe to be a spike in vehicle-related crimes in Lincoln.

The incident, which happened overnight on Saturday, May 9, saw the back window of a Citroen C4 on Montague Street smashed, and the items taken from inside.

This follows reports given to the police over the last few days that vehicles have been targeted in the city.

A spokesperson for the police has urged motorists to remain vigilant and remove or keep out of sight any items or belongings from vehicles before leaving them unattended.

Anyone who has information on the incident on Montague Street should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 188 of May 10.
