Dog bite: A woman in her 20s needed stitches after being bitten by a Border Collie in the South Common area of Lincoln.

A woman in her 20s needed stitches after being bitten by a Border Collie in the South Common are of Lincoln.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after the woman reported being bitten at around 4pm on Sunday, April 19.

The victim was walking her dog on South Common when she was approached by a Border Collie, which bit her on the hand.

It is believed the Border Collie was being walked by a woman who also had two Jack Russell dogs with her.

She is described as white, aged in her 40s, and with blonde hair. At the time of the incident she was wearing a blue tracksuit top and jeans.

Officers investigating the report are asking that anyone who saw the incident, or recognises the description of the woman, gets in touch.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 263 of April 19.
