Woman in critical condition after Bank Holiday motorcycle crash in Lincoln

Serious collision: Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to a Lincoln crash which left a 59-year-old female motorcyclist in a critical condition.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to a Lincoln crash which left a 59-year-old female motorcyclist in a critical condition in hospital over Bank Holiday weekend.

The woman involved in the collision at the A46 Riseholme roundabout in Lincoln on Sunday, May 3 is said to be from the Newark area.

The incident was reported to police at 5.14pm. Officers now believe the incident to be a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a blue Yamaha motorbike (not also involving a car as previously stated).

The woman riding the bike was seriously injured in the collision and has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment.

Her condition is currently described as critical but stable.

Officers investigating the collision would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the female rider as she approached the roundabout, travelling in the direction of the showground.
