Woman injured in A46 crash near Lincoln

Serious crash: A woman has reportedly been injured in a serious collision on the A46 near Lincoln on Bank Holiday Sunday.

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A46 near Lincoln on Bank Holiday Sunday.


Update, May 3, 8.45pm: Police are appealing for witnesses of the collision, which is believed to have involved a car and a motorbike.

The female rider of the motorbike was seriously injured in the collision and has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment.


The collision took place at around 5.14pm on Sunday, May 3 on the A46 near to the A15 Riseholme roundabout.

The road was closed and emergency services including Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and Lincolnshire Police attended the scene.

An air ambulance also attended and initial reports indicate that a woman who had been injured in the collision was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

The road remains closed at the time of writing.

It is unclear at this time if any others were injured as a result of the collision.
